I've been home sick for 2 days now. I don't really recommend it, it's not fun. There's nothing to do aside from watching Maury and Lifetime movies all day.
Because I have nothing better to do, I've decided to compose a list of the top 10 songs that are guaranteed to get stuck in your head:
10- "All I Want Is More" by Reel Big Fish - One of the catchiest horn lines I've ever heard.
9- "Goin' Richter" by The Ziggens - Quite possibly the catchiest surf bassline ever.
8- "Gene Autry" by Beulah - Beautifully orchestrated song with incredible melodies.
7- "Honey Peeps" by All - Crazy pop-punk song with non-stop energy and a great melody.
6- "Bus Meets Bike" by wecamewithbrokenteeth- Incredibly catchy song from this little-known electronic grindcore band. Highly recommended for any hardcore fans out there.
5- "Today" by Lagwagon - Seriously the catchiest (and most technical) bassline in any song I've ever heard.
4- "The Benefits of Sleeping with your Friend" by The Apples in Stereo - Excellent chill song with a catchy melody and great harmony.
3- "Falling For You" by Something Corporate - The bridge is what makes this song. Incredibly catchy with a great guitar line.
2- "To The Barricades!" by Secret Lives of the Freemasons - Excellent song with the incredible swirling melodies that Secret Lives are known for. Highly recommended for any post hardcore / screamo fans.
1- "Wolf Like Me" by TV On The Radio - This song has been stuck in my head since the first time I listened to it. Great indie rock song with incredibly catchy vocal line.
Honorable mention (in no particular order):
"My Very Own Flag" by Less Than Jake - Incredibly infectious melody.
"The Way You Wear Your Head" by Nada Surf - Slick guitar line with great vocals to match.
"Understatement" by New Found Glory - The backing vocals are what make this pop-punk song so catchy.
"I Am Hollywood" by He Is Legend - Great hardcore song with fast swirling melodies.
That's all for now. I think I'm going to go take some medicine. Or just go back to watching Maury.
Peace,
Hollywood
Overall this ChristXmas was a pretty solid one. I got 2 CD's I've been wanting ("The Lost, The Sick, The Sacred" by Inhale/Exhale and "This Was Built To Make You Dance" by Secret Lives of the Freemasons), and an Ibanez Talman acoustic electric guitar. Hope everybody else's ChristXmas was as good as mine.
As for New Years, I'm probably going to continue my 6 year streak of making zero resolutions. I figure that if you don't try to make any resolutions, you won't feel let down when you can't succeed in them. I'm an overachiever, I know. Maybe I'll think of something. Until next time...

-I graduated to playing bass clef.
TubaChristmas is in 39 days and counting!
For those of you who don't know what it is, visit www.tubachristmas.com. It's got all the makings of the greatest holiday ever: presents, decorations, Jesus, and low brass instruments.
For those of you who already know what it is, click here for information about the Jersey show. It's in the Deptford Mall this year!
I expect to see everybody there. Attendance is mandatory.
Keep on keepin' on,

In the spirit of a true blogger, I felt compelled to make the title of this post a line from a Bright Eyes song.
Now on to the real reason that I'm posting this:
I'm not single anymore! I'm now going out with an extremely sweet (and cute!) girl named Kristin, and I'm very happy.

This one goes out to Dan. He's probably the only one who's going to read this.
I'll start off with a brief (very brief) introduction. My name is Mike, also known as Hollywood. I enjoy music, poetry, tennis, long walks on the beach, writing, reading, singing, skating, longboarding, and skimboarding. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, in addition to Summer and Winter. I guess the only season I don't like is Spring. I had a blog before, but I haven't updated it in a year. So here's my second attempt at blogging.
This time I'll update it more often, I promise!
Keep on keepin' on,
